Three male students of University of Calabar (UNICAL) have been suspended for involvement in criminal activities such as robbery, cultism and forgery.
Registrar of the institution, Mr Moses Abang and the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Zana Akpagu in a statement approved the suspension of the students.
The suspended students include:’
- Bassey Divine – a 400-level student of the Department of Sociology, suspended for alleged forgery of the GSS result sheets.
- Ofem David – a 300-level student of the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies, suspended for alleged involvement in robbery.
- Collins Agbor – a 300-level student of the Department of Genetics and Biotech, suspended for alleged cult-related activities.
The suspended students are to stay away from the campus as the make ready to appear before the Students’ Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.
