Mexican man who dug a tunnel to spy on his ex-wife, Griselda Santillan, got stuck in tunnel.
The jealous man identified as Cesar Arnoldo Gomez, 50, spent days digging the spy tunnel in Puerto Penasco, in northern Mexico.
Cesar was previously issued a restraining order to stay away from Griselda Santillan, his former girlfriend of several years, 58-years-old.
According to the news source Cesar intended to spy on and stumble on her in case there was another man in her life. Cesar’s wife said she have been hearing noises behind the house for a while now but thought they were rodents.
But as the noises became stranger, she prompted Santillán (husband’s ex-wife) and a neighbor to inspect her yard. They found the mouth of a tunnel and several knives and water bottles inside. That’s wasn’t all.
The search parade found Cesar who had been trapped for some 24 hours and had been calling for help.
Cesar, who had been stuck in the tunnel for 24 hours, refused to leave until he was forced by security personnels.
He was taken to hospital and found to be suffering with severe dehydration and possible poisoning.
Cesar was later arrested by authorities for violating his restraining order.
