25-year-old begins trek from Kebbi to Abuja to celebrate Buhari

25-year-old Tukur Aliyu, an indigene of Argungu Local Government of Kebbi State, has commenced trekking from Birnin-Kebbi in Kebbi to Abuja to celebrate the re-election of President Buhari. Aliyu is trekking a distance of about 600km and about 11 hours by road with small food and money.
Aliyu, carried a small bag, one plate full of garri, sugar, beans cake and a N1,500 for the long trip.

This is not the first time, Nigerians did the same for president Buhari when he emerged winner during 2015 presidential elections.

Aliyu confidently said when he finally reached Abuja, he would be glad if he could meet with President Buhari to congratulate him on his victory at the Election.

Aliyu who met with newsmen shortly before he left Birnin Kebbi to Abuja said he vowed to trek to Abuja if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins or losses the presidential election.

Aliyu said, “I made a promise and a vow that if APC won the presidential election or even if it failed, I would trek from Birnin Kebbi to Abuja. I am doing it for my party, the APC and I am doing it because of Buhari our president.”
