The Independent National Electoral Commission has shifted the date for the General election just few hours to today, the previously stated date for the General elections. INEC moved the general elections to next Saturday, 23rd February, 2019 and that of the gubernatorial to 9th March. Sadly the reason for the postpone was due to logistic failure according to INEC.

Nigerians are disappointed by this change, well that is what we chose four years ago. Most INEC units were burnt and card readers were destroyed, so INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu had to make the move, desperately. It saddens every Nigerian, because we wanted to change the mistake we made four years ago and have made adequate preparations towards the elections. Only, for the commission which started 3 years ago for preparations towards election to have a “cold feet”.
