A woman, mother, 73, has been killed by her son who was in a disagreement with his elder brother. Mrs Cecilia Attah was hit on the head with a plank by her son when she was trying to separate her sons during a heated argument.
The son who committed the crime minutes later fled to Nsukka police station and filed a case that his brother is trying to kill him.
The saddening incident occurred in Nru, Nsukka L.G.A in Enugu. A senior officer who confirmed Mrs Cecilia dead said that her death was accidental.
However, Late Cecilia’s eldest son, Athanasius Igwenagum Attah, 54, who is a panel beater at the Mechanic Village, Nsukka, came to Nsukka Police Station, on Thursday, making a statement over the issue.
Late Mrs Cecilia is also be the mother of a priest, Rev Fr. Nobert, who is now on a paid leave at the United States of America, USA.
