The Plunging of our Nation

Solomon Ekeoma Ogbu

The proclivity of our Nation plunging into a deeper sea is so high… The rate at which the country is being handled by some individuals who have no interest of the populace at heart is so alarming…

From the indifferent President who is so biased as it regards national issues and insecurity in Nigeria… Of course, he has negative his inaugural speech which he stated inter alia “I belong to no one… I belong to everybody…”

Father Mbaka says Atiku and Peter Obi will fail, if they fail to meet demands

The President has proven from recent national issues… Ranging from the IPOB proscription to the herdsmen’s unlawful acts, corruption of cabinet members et higher administrative officers to even the Boko Haram campaign at the North that he’s incapable of discharging his functions of his office as provided for in the constitution… Even to the recent JAMB-snake saga.

We have seen and experienced the alarming rate of corruption in Nigeria… This I must state has never been experienced in the history of Nigeria’s corruption cases. How can we talk of integrity of our “dutiful” President who has claimed blindness as regards certain National issues…

Dr Chimaobi Anyaso reacts to the teardown of his campaign posters

It is therefore at this point I must state that we as the youth of Nigeria must stand against all forms of corruption… Our constitution makes us powerful than the government… For benefit of doubt, section 14 of the 1999 constitution can be referred to. It’s high time we stood against all those who have no interest in our country… Public interest should and must at every point in time override individual interest (salis populi est suprema lex)

In lieu of this, I beckon on us all to get our PVC and vote out these guys out of office…
Let’s exercise our power, our sovereignty and every legal arsenal we have in our disposal…
Together we can do it!

On a lighter note… I’ll need to get bitter kola around my bank to protect my account from snakes.

Nigerian presidency took their verified social media handle to clear the air surrounding the appointment of Amina Zakari as INEC’s head of collation centre for the upcoming general election. They debunked claims by PDP that Amina is related to the President Buhari who is on the rerun for a second tenor under the APC.

Amina Zakari was recently appointed the head of collation center by INEC ahead of the general elections this year.

As shared by the Nigerian Presidency on twitter.

Girl allegedly charmed by Yahoo Boy vomits money in Delta State

In another mendacious press release, the PDP has continued their baseless accusations regarding Hajiya Amina Zakari, a commissioner in the INEC, accusing her of partiality and casting doubts about her integrity as an electoral commissioner. In their desperation, they forget that it was the PDP government that appointed her in the first place and they keep lying, as they have been caught doing on so many issues, by imputing a blood relationship between her and President Muhammadu Buhari. President Buhari and Commissioner Amina Zakari do not share a family relationship. An inter-marriage occurred in their extended families, so the imputation of blood relationship between the President and the electoral commissioner is a lie. What is even more curious about all the fuss coming from the PDP is that they, as a ruling party picked Mrs Zakari, judging her by her own merit and made her an electoral commissioner. She served so well with distinction as can be verified from the records that President Buhari approved the recommendation that she be reappointed, as he did other PDP nominees for second-term of four years. PDP, therefore, has no moral right to keep harassing this hardworking mother unless they have a hidden agenda. By this statement, the PDP is guilty of scoring an own goal and two, of harassing an innocent citizen on the basis of a lie, pure and simple.
