Deji Adeyanju released from prison, after 5 days of detention

Daniel and Boma were freed on the early hours of Monday yesterday while Deji was released by 7pm on the same day.

Deji Adeyanju, a strong Nigerian Activist who spearheads a human-rights group, Concerned Nigerians, has been released from prison after he was detained for about 5 days.

In details, Deji Adeyanju was arrested alongside two others, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams during a protest in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Wednesday 28th November. Deji’s led protest emphasised that the Nigerian Police were being partisan and being used as political tools by the ruling party.

The protest was perceived to be defamatory by the Nigerian police who accused Deji and the two others of several criminal offences including, criminal defamatory comments and utterances capable of inciting public disturbance, threat to public security and safety, criminal defamatory and derogatory conduct against constituent authority and breach of law and order.

However Nigerians frowned at the arrests as it infringes democracy and depicts abuse of power.

During a court hearing at a chief magistrate court, Deji and his counterparts we’re granted bail with conditions which they failed to meet.  The bail terms which were, a level-14 civil servant, a businessman with N20 million bond was met the following day being Thursday, according to Ariyo Dare, Deji’s long time associate.

The case at the chief magistrate court was presided by Aliyu Kagargo.

However, Deji and his fellow were nonot released immediately prior to the delay by the presiding judge to sign the bail papers.

The scammers tried to elude capture as they saw Criminal Investigation Department personnel around their house but sadly they were caught up and paraded. Attah agreed to pay up the amount defrauded starting with selling a 10,000 euros car parked in his compound.

A Nigerian man has cried out after an Indian man allegedly scammed him by selling fake Samsung Galaxy S9 to him for N100,000.
The fraud victim on his Instagram page revealed that the Indian told him that he was stranded in Nigeria and he needed some money to go back to India.

The victim didn’t realize the phone was fake until after he has paid the price in full.

“I got the shock of my life today, I wanted to change phone so I contacted a guy that assured me that he will get me a very good one. I was driving when I received a call from the guy, that someone wants to sell his phone, that I should hurry down.

I got there, he introduced me to one Indian guy, that the Indian guy wants to sell his phone, what I saw was a galaxy s9 plus, I asked him how much, he said 250k, that he needed money to travel back to India because he was stranded.

I inspected the phone, not an extensive check though, I offered to pay 100k, he agreed, I immediately headed straight to the bank and withdrew 100k and handed it over to him.

I only realized that it was a fake phone he sold to me, when I noticed that it’s front camera was sealed with plastic after taking a very close look, To make things worse, that money wasn’t mine, I had the intentions of buying then resell at a higher price.
