Atiku Wrote;

“Thank you very much my brothers and sisters of the North Central zone.
Today we have listened to the failures of the APC government since 2015 till today. There is nothing they have not promised us, they promised us security, jobs and better economy, they failed. Whatever they promised, they failed.
It is time to return Nigeria to PDP, because the best years of this country was when the PDP was governing our country from 1999-2015.
In terms of corruption, Nigeria is worse of today than we were in 2014. In terms of economy, we are the poorest country in the world today. In terms of insecurity, we are most insecure than at any other time in our history
This is what the APC are doing. They are buying PVCs, they will come to you and give you N10, N20, N50 to buy your PVC – they are buying your future. Do you want to sell your future? Don’t sell your PVCs because they are going to use it against you.
God bless you all. Thank you.”

The media aide to incumbent President of Nigeria, Lauretta Onchie made a derogatory comment towards Atiku’s campaign in Sokoto. She taunted that Atiku was buying supporters for his campaign and attaching N500 to a plate of food during campaign which was a blatant lie.

Father Ejike Mbaka

Popular Catholic priest simply identified as Rev Father Ejike Mbaka in a controversial statement said Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar will fail if they refuse to say what they’ll do for his ministry. Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are the PDP presidential candidate for 2019 general election, with Peter Obi as the second-man.

Father Mbaka in a video making rounds on the internet made the statement during a political rally. Peter Obi was hesitant to make promises. Which led to Father say, in his exact words in part,

God hates stinginess… If you continue like this, you and Atiku will fail. – Father Mbaka

Christians however, were not agreement with Rev. Father Mbaka’s statement. Saying that God doesn’t force giving on Christians when they need favor from him.

A Twitter user, @ifeabunike wrote,

What Father Mbaka did to Peter Obi at the alter of God and in God’s name was disgraceful and should be condemned by all well meaning Christians. If this was what Christ stood for, I don’t want to be a part of it anymore.

Reno Omokri took the liberty to voice his opinion, he wrote.

Fr Mbaka disgraces  @PeterObi for refusing to donate to his church. That is exactly why you should vote for @atiku and Peter Obi. They wont donate public money to churches and mosques. Has @officialEFCC ever looked for Peter Obi? These are the types of leaders we need! #RenosDarts

APC National chairman, Adams Oshiomhole has made allegations on former President Olusegun Obasanjo, saying he is plotting to rule over Nigeria by proxy. He added that the Constituency of the ruling president, President Buhari is the army of the poor.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has pledged his support to Atiku Abubakar during the forthcoming general election in Nigeria. Obasanjo reassured Nigerians that Atiku will not fail them during the turbaning of Atiku  as the 7th Wazirin Adamawa, by the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Mustapha Barkindo.

This may be reason behind Oshiomhole’s statement. Oshiomhole made the statement while addressing former PDP (People’s Democratic Party) members and Kwankwasiyya Movement members who defected to the APC (All Progressive Congress) at the Sani Abacha Stadium. Oshiomhole said

Obasanjo’s dream to rule Nigeria by proxy will not succeed. It is a wonderful day that all the progressives have come together to reinforce power to sustain our democracy. Never again should this country be governed by opportunists. “President Muhammadu Buhari’s constituency is the army of the poor. We are building a country where those who work will be able to eat, not those who use telephones to make billions without working for it. “We are waiting for the message and shall respond appropriately to their message. This country must move forward. It does not belong to those who have a history of taking so much out of the system even as they cannot show what they have put into the system.

However, President Buhari has revealed plans despite long delay in the passage of the 2018 budget, and in the approval of the budget’s Borrowing Plan. He said that the presidency will focus on infrastructure development. In his exact words, he said.

In spite of the long delay in the passage of the 2018 budget, and in the approval of the budget’s Borrowing Plan, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to infrastructure development. Developing infrastructure is one of the best things any Government can do for Nigerians.
