Nigerians have taken to the social media to react to EFCC debunking news that the anti-graft agency received a sum of 10 million naira from Kano state Governor, Ganduje.

The 1960post reported of the statement made by Ganduje while receiving EFCC, ICPC and AFN during an event organized to honor President Buhari’s effort in fighting corruption. Ganduje said openly said he donated N10m to the EFCC for the Anti-corruption Marathon project, which honors Buhari.

EFCC on their official twitter handle made a post debunking the news of the agency collection funds from individuals to carry out the Anti-corruption Marathon project. The Anti-corruption Marathon project which is designed to honor a sitting President was not much welcomed by Nigerians who saw the move as partisan.

The reactions on Social media was not a surprise. it reveals that Nigerians are beginning to loose trust on EFCC. ICPC however, has not said anything concerning the statement made by Gandollar. Nigerians have been forced to believe the EFCC, an anti-graft agency has been compromised by those in power, APC, too oppress their major opposition, PDP. Rumors of how EFCC deliberately ignored fraud cases involving APC member have been on the streets. Non-APC members, especially PDP members are immediately sanctioned and prosecuted.

#Alert For the avoidance of doubt, no State governor or some other individual or group has donated any amount of money to the EFCC to carry out the Anti-corruption Marathon project or any other project for that matter.

Zamfara State Blogger in tears after brother kidnappers refuse N1m over N15m ransom

Shaafatu M Bala, a popular female blogger from Zamfara State is wallowing in tears over the kidnap of her younger brother, Jibril M Bala.  Jibril’s kidnapper are demanding the sum of 15 million naira for ransom but the victim’s sister can only afford 1 million.

Read as sourced from Facebook.

“Jibril M Bala, a Junior brother to Shafaatu M Bala a popular Zamfara lady blogger was kidnapped on Friday on his way from Tsafe to Gusau Zamfara state, and his captors demanded 15 millions for as ransom.

From the audio tape conversation between the kidnappers and the only sister to Jibril Shafaatu she sorrowfully shed tears bagging the captors to collect one million and release the boy but they insist on 15 millions.

Wallahi Shafaatu has no hundred thousand, she’s junior cadre civil servant, she has no way to produce 15 millions. Let’s help them Don Allah

The spate of incessant killings and kidnappings is on the rise in Zamfara State, it is now a daily occurrence in many parts of the state, people are being abducted in broad daylight, bandits are audaciously enforcing taxes on villagers, IDPs are everywhere.

What can we do to help Jibril rescued.
We pray for Allah to reunite Jibril and all people in captivity to their families.”
