EFCC discovers $400,000 after the arrest of a fraudster

EFCC, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 arrested a suspected fraudster identified as Samson Otuedon, at Masaka area of Karu LGA in Nasarawa State for currency counterfeiting.

Otuedon, who specialized in counterfeiting foreign currencies, following an intelligence report on Friday, April 6, 2018 on the activities of fraudsters duping unsuspecting victims in Masaka area of the State.
On Otuedon’s arrest, fake foreign currencies summing up to $400,000 were recovered. While being interrogated, Otuedon admitted that the fake dollars were given to him by other members of his syndicate who were based in Lagos. According to him, one of their mode of operation was combining fake dollars with genuine ones; that way, it is easily infiltrated into the system.

Otuedon, who confessed to the crime, also admitted that the syndicate use fake dollars for money doubling too.

Okay, nice, EFCC is quick to make an arrest, but when it comes to politicians who have looted millions. You’ll be berated with series of court case news with no arrest.

Seiyefa, a 100 level female student of NDU (Niger Delta University) was shot dead by gunmen for refusing to give up her new iPhone. She was shot by gunmen who were alleged to be cultist.

The gunmen attacked her requesting that she surrenders her new iPhone.

Its not like she was not going to give it up, just that she hesitated, then there came a bun shot which took her life. That was when the gunmen over her dead body, made away with the iPhone.

One of the gunmen, 20-year-old Junior Danumunabo from Nembe Ogbolomabiri was apprehended after much investigation by vigilante group. He confessed to the crime, but the iPhone is not yet recovered.

Seiyefa was attacked on Thursday evening on November 8, 2018, at Amarata in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state. Friends claim that if not for  ASUU strike, Seiyefa would have been in school, hale and hearty.

Meanwhile 22-year-old Zubairu, in 100 level purchased a new iPhone X Man, Benz and iWatch for his 16-year-old girlfriend who was in SS3. He lavished on her those expensive items on her birthday.

22 years old student buys a Mercedes Benz, an iPhone X Max and an iWatch for his girlfriend. Shockingly, the student is in 100 level and his girlfriend is 16 years of age.

The 100 level student simply identified as Zubairu spent so much for his girlfriend who is in SS3 because it was her birthday. This is one type of gift you don’t call a “mere gift”.

Normally, everyone will question the source of the money, but that’s normal. When we find out, we will inform you. But let’s break down the cost of the expenditure.

For clarity sake, an iPhone X Max costs at least $999 approximately $1000. To buy a Mercedes Benz, you need to dish out not less than $30,000. Then for an iWatch you’ll spend at least $500.

In total the 22 years old student spent $31,500 on his 16 years old girlfriend. That’s is approximately 11.5 million naira.

In reaction to the lavish, influential spending by a 22 years old in 100 level on a 16 years old SS3 student, a Twitter user posted.

Nigerians were quick to conclude Zubairu as fraudster (Yahoo boy) on social media and it’s understandable. The state of Nigeria’s economywill make an average Nigerian question the source of money spent in this manner.

NECO Postponed Nov/Dec 2018 Exams – See New Timetable and Date

The National Examinations Council (NECO), an examination body in Nigeria has announced that its November/December 2018 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) which was previously scheduled to commence on the 15th of November has been re-scheduled to November 19th.The update was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr Abubakar Gana and was made available to the press in Abuja.

The examination will run from 19th November – 19 December, 2018.

Mr Abubakar Gana further advised that the Candidates should visit and download the new examination time table on the NECO website

“Please note that this information supersedes the earlier media publication on the commencement date for the examination date,’NECO expressed regrets over any inconveniences the change might have caused candidates.” – Mr Gana
