During a gospel event “The Experience” which took place in Lagos, a young man was caught with seven stolen phones.
The suspect, Lateef Nurudeen of 10, Obadina Street, Lagos Island, was captured by men of Rapid Response Squad toward the beginning of December 2017 at around 12:45 a.m. at the program in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
Lateef, 19-year-old, who was in the organization of his six other friend in the event, was located holding a pack where he covered the seven stolen telephones.
The suspect who on interrogation by the officers presented on the scene of the event told the police on cross examination that he was a hair stylist.
On further investigation, Lateef revealed that he saw the pack underneath a flower bed because he could not give a sustainable answer for the phones he was caught with.
Found inside his bag were seven distinct mobiles telephones, charms and tote. The tote contained personality card and ATM plastic having a place with one Chris Nkum Chinedu.
The suspect, sources uncovered, admitted to being the proprietor of the charms found inside the pack. PoliticsNGR learnt that he utilized the charms for assurance.
As of now, investigators have found four owners of the seven telephones remaining three phones. The ownere, who got to the RRS headquarter in Alausa were:

The four owners showed up at the RRS central command after officers called their relatives whose numbers were found on the stolen telephones.
The owners who have been searching for their cell phones before leaving the ground of the program noticed that they didn’t know when their telephones were stolen from their bags and pockets.
One of the owners, Ukwajiuba, expressed that promptly he found that his telephone was missing, he revealed the theft at Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos, where his information were taken.
The suspect, Lateef, an ex-convict expressed that he saw the bag inside the flower at TBS yet claimed up to being the owner of the charms found inside the sack. He admitted that the two charms found in the packs were for his assurance, adding that he went to the congregation program to pray and not to take.
Defending his possession of charms at church crusade, he said, “I pray a lot. The charms are for my personal protection. They have been with me for ages. They were specially prepared for my protection against evil. I came to the crusade to pray.
My friends that took to their heels when police started questioning me are confirmed troublemakers. They were at the programme only to cause commotion. That is what they do and how they make a living.
I am a troublemaker too but I came to that church programme to pray and not to steal. My friends ran because they knew I would be arrested. I pray a lot and that was why I was at the programme’, he stated.
Endeavors to find the Lateef’s companions who were with him at the event by RRS failed as they have all scamped their forts.The Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal said that the case be exchanged quickly to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department while endeavors be escalated to capture every single other speculate engaged with the robbery.
He requested that the stolen telephones be discharged to their owners once they can give confirmation of possession.

Woman arrested for scamming church in Ogun state of N100m
A 39-year old woman, Iwuagwu Onyinyechi, has been apprehended by the Ogun police command after she defrauded a Christian church the sum of N100m, under the disguise of assisting the church to raise fund for her charity programme. Onyinyechi was able to defraud the church with forged documents three good times.
The police command in a statement read by its spokesman on Sunday Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Onyinyechi’s arrest followed a complain filed by a lawyer of the church, Godswill Ojakovo, to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, in which he said that his client, the church, was defrauded by Onyinyechi through an act of forgery.
According to the spokesman, Oyeyemi, the suspect claimed to have obtained a Local Purchase Order (LPO) from a property company and pleaded to the church to help fund the LPO, after which a sum of N33.118m was successfully transferred into to her bank account.
While the church was awaiting the repayment of the loan, Onyinyechi came with another two LPOs she claimed she got from a Catholic Hospital, Iju and a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Another sum of N77m was given to her, after convincing the church with relevant documents and proofs to back her claims.
But as soon as Onyinyechi got the last payment in September 2018, she went loose and this prompted the church to make discreet inquiries about the LPOs she submitted and found out that they were forged.
Tanzania woman attacked by her husband for refusing to give him anal sex
A married woman from Kijichi Mkoa, Western Zanzibar in Tanzania is left with deep cuts on her face after a fight with her husband whom she refused to give anal sex.
The victim says her husband been making moves to get his demands but she has been refusing only because Islam does not support anal sex. The victim says her partner says she is being “naive” on matters with sex.
“He began demanding anal sex from me three months after our wedding. I told him: ‘no’; straight away! He, however, kept on urging me to give in to his demands. Even when I was seven months pregnant, he still wanted to have anal sex with me. I stood my ground, nonetheless,”- the victim told Tanzania’s Mwananchi Newspaper .
The lady revealed that her husband was rejected by two women because he asked them of the same act. The accused, denied his wife’s claims, saying the fight between them broke out after his in-laws (wife relatives) demanded a lot of money as dowry from him.
According to him, his wife’s family mocks him for being “broke”.
