Mugabe’s minister of finance who was abducted and beaten by military, admitted in the hospital

After Zimbabwean former president, Mugabe was overthrown, his minister of finance, Ignatius Chombo was abducted by the military and beaten to pulp.

His lawyer revealed that after his release, he was admitted in the hospital because of the severe injury he sustained from the beating.

His lawyer, Lovemore Madhuku, says Chombo has injuries to his hands, legs and back and was blindfolded throughout his week in the military custody.

Chombo was abducted because he had been accused of corruption and abuse of power relating to his time as local government minister more than a decade ago.
