“Before we knew it IPOB boys rushed out from nowhere and attacked our Hilux, they were more than 15, carrying different weapons, one of them used a shovel to hit the Hilux hard.
“Before I could blink my eyes they opened the door and started dragging us out, I heard my oga (boss) chorused, NO please, we are BIAFRANS ” I joined them o, and was shouting, Biafra, Biafra… These boys werena’t even listening, one used a heavy big stone and was hitting my oga.”
She added that others were removing the car upholstery, claiming that they couldn’t be Biafran’s with Nigerian flag and Coat of Arms printed on the seats that way.
“I didn’t know what to do, they dragged me outta the car, I came down didn’t know what to do, I thought of hiding under the Hilux but no way because they were just everywhere,” she added.
“I was just praying my last prayer just in case they decide to kill us. Ever seen or witnessed any case of jungle justice? Now, that’s exactly the scene today.
“The other part of the road was another set of IPOB boys damaging a truck full of goods, and another Dangote truck full of cement on fire already.
All this I witnessed/saw within 20mins.”
The agitators eventually let them go after they paid N500.
“We sped off…On our way still driving carefully, because they are everywhere, we saw soldiers in their convoy coming down to calm the situation,” she narrated.
“On entering Umuahia, the check points are tight, every living thing except the driver inside a bus, car, Keke must come down and raise his/her two hands up to be sure the person isn’t with any weapon.
Oh well…”

A 39-year old woman, Iwuagwu Onyinyechi, has been apprehended by the Ogun police command after she defrauded a Christian church the sum of N100m, under the disguise of assisting the church to raise fund for her charity programme. Onyinyechi was able to defraud the church with forged documents three good times.

The police command in a statement read by its spokesman on Sunday Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Onyinyechi’s arrest followed a complain filed by a lawyer of the church, Godswill Ojakovo, to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, in which he said that his client, the church, was defrauded by Onyinyechi through an act of forgery.

According to the spokesman, Oyeyemi, the suspect claimed to have obtained a Local Purchase Order (LPO) from a property company and pleaded to the church to help fund the LPO, after which a sum of N33.118m was successfully transferred into to her bank account.

While the church was awaiting the repayment of the loan, Onyinyechi came with another two LPOs she claimed she got from a Catholic Hospital, Iju and a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Another sum of N77m was given to her, after convincing the church with relevant documents and proofs to back her claims.

But as soon as Onyinyechi got the last payment in September 2018, she went loose and this prompted the church to make discreet inquiries about the LPOs she submitted and found out that they were forged.
