Connecting Two Computer Systems Wirelessly (windows)

Connecting two computer systems WIRELESS on windows

This type of connection that has to do with only two computer systems is basically an Adhoc connection
Let’s jump straight into details.
Two system with enabled wi-fi device.
A system with hosted network support.

First we have to check if one of the system supports hosted network (host system for the connection)
Open up Command Prompt with Administration rights
Type in the following

netsh wlan show drivers

Here a full detail of your system wireless card is displayed.
Go down to Hosted network Support,
If yes, then your system can host the network
If no, your system will have to use alternative wireless device.

Next we configure the hosted network.
Type in the following in a command prompt with admin rights.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=”input your choice of name” key=”input your password”

Example: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=urchony key=urchony1

Note:your password must be up to 8 characters.
Here you’ve set your hostednetwork mode to allow, the host name and the password.

Finally we turn on the hosted network.
type in the following.

netsh wlan start hosted network

when done with the connection to turn it off is quite simple

i’ll let you figure that out.

Tip:Change start to stop.

Turn on the wi-fi of the other computer system you want to use and simply connect to your SSID and input your password.
Now you’ve successfully connected these two systems but the network is a bit limited in functionalities.
But you can play your multiplayer games like Rise of Nations
Next you have to set an IP address to both computer system.
