How TO Set AN IP Address.(NETWORKING-101)

Basically an IP address is an identifier for a system in network, So while in a network
There are two ways of getting an IP address
1. DHCP-Dynamic host configuration Protocol-This protocol assign IP address to devices on a network Automatically.
2. Static Configuration-This is the method we will be discussing. This is assigning an IP address to your device on yourself.

So to assign an IP address to your device follow this procedure.

Depending on the media you connect to the network i.e Wired or wireless you configure an IP to each means
For example. You are connected to a network by the means of an Ethernet cable, you gonna have to configure for the Ethernet connection.
if you are connected using a wireless means, then you configure that of the wireless.

So lets kick start.

open up control panel
change your view to CATEGORY, to make things much easier
click on NETWORK AND INTERNET


click on VIEW NETWORK STATUS AND TASK

on the sidebar(menu) click on CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS.


Now depending on your connection media either the wireless or Ethernet, Both have the same procedure.

RIGHT CLICK on your connection media 


click on PROPERTIES


click on INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4(TCP/IPv4)


click on PROPERTIES on the adjacent menu


tick USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS

now input the IP ADDRESS.(provided by your Internet Service Provider) 

click on the subnet mask box, it will automatically fill up the spaces, depending on your above  IP ADDRESS.

Click OK to save and exit.

That’s it IP address configured

AIT owner, Raymond Dokpesi, arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport

The owner of African Independent Television (AIT), Raymond Dokpesi has been arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe airport for reasons unrevealed.

The news is coming from the verified Twitter account of the television network, they wrote.

“Breaking: Chief Raymond Dokpesi has been arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on return from medical treatment /operation at the American Hospital Dubai. Reasons have not been given yet for the arrest”.

Following the news, Chief Raymond has been released, according to the update from AIT.


UPDATE: Media magnate, Raymond Dokpesi, has been released after over an hour of detention at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday afternoon.”

Let’s talk about Raymond Dokpesi.

According to online sources, Dokpesi is Nigerian media businessman born in 1951 in Ibadan, Nigeria. His parents are from Agenebode, Edo state in a family including six sisters siblings. He entered the Nigerian mass media industry with his company DAAR Communications and set-up the Nigerian TV network Africa Independent Television (AIT).

Raymond Dokpesi was the organising committee chairman of the People’s Democratic Party national conference in 2015.
